These stained glass windows are in the University Church of St. Mary the Virgin. Some notable things in the history of this church: the oldest part of the building, the spire, was built in 1280; 3 protestant men were tried here before they were martyred by Bloody Mary in the 1550's; John Wesley often preached here in the 1770's, until he publicly denounced the leaders of Oxford University as being lazy and lax in one of his sermons and was never asked to preach there again...
